Amber Oud Private Edition by Al Haramain keeps Erba Pura by Xerjoff as its reference but gives the familiar melon-pineapple musk a darker wardrobe. Cedar, myrrh and resins place a balsamic shadow under the fruit, whereas vanilla keeps the base plush. If Erba Pura or Amber Oud Gold Edition feels too sunny, Private Edition offers a woodier, more resinous take on that fruity-musky style.

Melon, pineapple and green bergamot open sweet and ripe, but cedar begins darkening the fruit almost immediately. Myrrh and resins move through the center before vanilla, musk and woods create a balsamic, creamy finish with considerably more shadow than Gold Edition.
Amber Oud Private Edition starts with strong projection of roughly 3-5 feet for the first 2-3 hours, then eases into a steady trail. Expect about 10-12+ hours on skin, with the resinous vanilla-musk base lasting even longer on clothing.
Private Edition can technically span the year, but fall, winter and cooler spring evenings show off its darker fruit and resins best. Nightlife, celebrations, dinner, outdoor evening events and dressed-up casual plans fit its intensity; the cedar, myrrh and woods give it a masculine lean.
